The Accelerated Reader Incentive Program for the 2011-2012 school
year are as follows:

Trimester Free Dress Pass – Students achieving the required A/R points at the end of
each trimester will be awarded a free dress pass to be used on the designated date. Dates
are subject to change, however, no exceptions will be made once the trimester ends.

Grade 1 – incentives will be offered by the classroom teacher
Grade 2 – 5 points first trimester, 8 points second trimester, 8 points third trimester
Grade 3 – 10 points per trimester
Grade 4 – 11 points per trimester
Grade 5 – 13 points per trimester
Grade 6 – 14 points per trimester
Grade 7 – 16 points per trimester
Grade 8 – 18 points per trimester

(dates are subject to change) *quizzes taken after the cut-off date, will apply to the
next trimester regardless of when the book was read*

A/R Patch – Students achieving the following A/R points for the school year will be
awarded an Accelerated Reader Patch and certificate at the end of the year. The patch
may be worn on their school sweater.

Grade 2 – 50+ points
Grades 3 – 75+ points
Grade 4 – 100+ points
Grades 5 thru – 200+ points

In addition, there may be smaller incentives rewarded throughout each trimester, to
encourage students to work toward their reading goal.
