Haiti Club
During the 2006-2007 school year, Mission Basilica School had the creation and development of the Haiti Club. This club is part of our Outreach Program. Its focus is to help expand globally aware citizens in our school community while developing philanthropic hearts by the way of fundraising and fellowship.
Each year, the students at MBS focus on fundraising to help the children at the Powje Espwa orphanage. There have been funds raised for shoes, socks, farm animals, school supplies, and much more by selling Valentine Grams, coin drives, pencil sales, etc. The students at MBS organize and volunteer their own time to help with these projects. We have been able to give the Powje Espwa orphanage well over $10,000 thus far.
