Mission Basilica School’s Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon is just around the corner.

Please join us for an afternoon of Fashion, Fun, and Friendship. Fashions from Lisa V. Couture will be available, as well as gorgeous purses, children’s clothing, and gourmet cupcakes, just to name a few. A fabulous lunch will be served while you enjoy seeing the latest fashion trends.

The event will be held at El Adobe in SJC, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on May 17, 2012.

Sit with Mission Basilica School families and alumni at the MBS Parade Viewing Spot. Bring your own lawn chairs, coolers with whatever your heart desires, friends and family! Here’s the basic information for the day:

MBS Girl’s Basketball Scrimmage at UCI!

In a rare and unique opportunity, our very own 5th and 6th grade girls’ basketball teams were invited to scrimmage at the UCI Bren Events Center. The Red and White Teams played against one another at the halftime of the UCI Women’s Basketball game. They played under the direction of Coach Salas, Coach Everett, and Coach Petersen. The night was so much fun and you will all agree once you see the pictures that were taken.

More Serenade News!

We have two new exciting pieces of information to announce regarding the upcoming Serenade of Hope. First is that tickets are now on sale for this event. Secondly, we are so pleased to inform you that the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announcer Rex Hudler will be this year’s Master of Ceremonies. We are so lucky to have him and cannot wait to share the evening with the Mission Basilica School community.

Serenade of Hope Nearing

The Serenade of Hope is nearing and we have many exciting opportunities for MBS community members to get involved. Students may enter the Art Contest that we are having – participation wins you a free jean day! Parents can participate starting now by purchasing tickets for the Opportunity Drawing. Additionally, basket wrapping is going to commence on December 5th and will continue through December 9th.

WCEA/WASC Accreditation Visit

On November 16th-18th, a visiting team composed of teachers, principals, and superintendents will visit our school to affirm the excellence in education we provide at MBS. The accreditation process is designed to strengthen schools in the delivery of quality educational programs.

United Nations Day

Get your costumes ready and dancing feet prepare, October 28th is United Nations Day. For over thirty years, Mission Basilica School has celebrated the tradition of United Nations Day. Throughout the month of October each class studies a country’s culture, geography, people, and traditions. The month of study culminates at the end of October with a school wide celebration.
