Dear MBS Families and Visitors,
This year brought change to Mission Basilica School. We have much to share that brings excitement. Our staff has grown and many new faces have joined us in the form of teachers, parents and children. I myself welcomed a new Mission child into my own family, my newborn son.
We welcomed the celebration of our own Father Junipero Serra becoming a Saint. The eyes of the world momentarily focused on our state and our school touching the hearts of our children.
We launched our Transitional Kindergarten program in 2015. This new class helps realize the Mission Basilica School’s commitment to educating the whole child and brings a more well-rounded approach to the formative years.
From preschool through eighth grade, our school prepares our students for adulthood. Through the leadership of the Diocese, we are advancing STREAM which combines the disciplines of a STEM program focused on science, technology, engineering and math with religion, reading and art.
Our theme this year is United in Christ and I know that with so many advancements in our school along with our community’s binding faith we will soar into the future.
Yours in Christ,
