About Mrs. Guck

Mrs. Guck is a local girl, growing up in San Clemente. She went to the University of San Diego, where she earned her BA in Liberal Arts and her Clear California teaching credential. She continued at USD and received her Masters in Education with an emphasis in Severely Handicapped students. After graduation, she married Randy and began teaching for Newport Mesa School District at a Special Needs School. After the birth of her first child, she decided to stay at home with her daughter and eventually welcome two more sons into the family. When it became time for the kids to start school, Mrs. Guck and her husband chose Mission Basilica School. Mrs. Guck was a room mom many times, served on many committees, and substitute taught for the school. When her two oldest headed off to college, Mrs. Guck accepted a full time teaching position at MBS and has been the First Grade teacher for the past ten years. She loves her job and loves working with the children. When away from school, Mrs. Guck loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, doing needlework, and cooking.

First Grade Service Project

Service Project

We live the gospel message of social justice through Christian service.The First Grade class at Mission Basilica School collects pop tabs to be given to the Orange County Ronald McDonald House for recycling. The money earned goes to offset the costs of running the Orange County Ronald McDonald House which provides a comfortable and affordable home away from home for families shouldering the burden of a child being treated at a Children's Hospital of Orange County.
